Demon Daze
Since: August 8th, 2005
The Beginning: August 8th, 2005. Afternoon.
It was out of boredom, rather than interest that I typed in 'manhwa' at yahoo. This lead me to Wikipedia, where I found a list of manhwas that had been introduced abroad.
When I read the title 'Demon Diary', I first thought it must be some imitation of the Japanese manga 'Death Note'. Only later did I realize that this was Mawang Ilgi.
This was the beginning, and soon I was excitedly looking for information on Demon Diary. Well, I found hardly anything. Several fanlistings, which I joined, a couple of reviews - but nothing more. It was then that I decided to create a website that might effectively introduce Demon Diary to its foreign fans and, well, here we go.
Version 0: no name (August 8th ~ August 15th)
Made in a real hurry, and taken down in a real hurry: I had this 'no name' version up for only a week. It consisted of an inline frame and a couple of stars for the menu. I changed it because the navigation was difficult, and because it didn't work with 800*600.
Version 1: Dreamland ( ~ October 3rd)
I first made a wallpaper using the two illustrations, then I liked the theme so much I had to change it into a layout. It's about Raenef and Eclypse who are dozing and meeting each other in their dreams. (The picture on the left shows their dream.)
Version 2: Fairyland
I really tried to make a complex, professional-looking design this time, but I doubt I succeeded. It is supposed to show Raenef standing at the entrance to Fairyland. The idea of adding the others only occurred to me later. All in all, I'm not all too satisfied with this layout, but still, I really like the navigation.
Rengae: Korean, female, in her late teens
Well, there is really nothing much to tell about me. Let's see.
I major in law. My special field of interest is international law, which goes hand in hand with my interest for foreign languages.
In my spare time, I like to read, listen to radio plays, and work on my website(s).
Webdesign is a hobby I picked up during my schooldays, while I was in middleschool, I think. I really can't remember what the first incentive was and how I managed to finally build my first website. But somehow I must have managed.
Websites:
no.1) "early morning"
February 2001 ~ December 2002.
My first website, which began as an overlooked little homepage on a free website provider and developed into a pretty popular hostee at one of the major Moffatts fansites.
I and my webdesign skills grew with early morning, and thus it keeps (and always will keep) a special place in my heart.
no.2) "Demon Daze"
This is my first return to the world of HTML and webdesign after an absence of 2 years. I've forgotten much of what I used to know and have to learn a lot. Hopefully Demon Daze will develop and grow - as much as I will.
